|
Starting view in a company model
|
The model is very easy to use when you remember a couple
of things:
|

(Click picture to enlarge it.)
|
- The parameters are on the left under the headings.
Parameters can be revealed by clicking
signs in front of the headings. When you click ,
it changes to
so you can later hide the parameters in question
- At the start, the model shows only year-levels.
Quarters can be seen by clicking
signs under the year figures. Again, quarters can
be hidden by clicking any revealing
sign.
- After the two first estimate years, there are more
years hidden.
The rest of the years can be seen by clicking
for example under the
button.

Tooltips
|
When you place the mouse over the headings on the
left, you will see a tooltip.
It may give you a fast answer to your question, for example
if you would like to see how a variable is calculated.
Notice that you do not need to click the parameter's
name.

Colour codes
|
The model is easy to use and works properly when you
remember the following colour codes:
- In the beginning you are allowed to change
blue figures. The black ones are calculated
by the model.
- When you change blue
figures, they become red
which you are also allowed to change.
- If you want to reset red
colours back to blue,
click first Tracking off and then Tracking on.

Entering certain type of numbers
|
There is nothing special about inputting integers. But
when you enter a decimal or percentage number to the model,
please keep in mind the following things:
As
a decimal point use dot: . (not comma: ,)
In
percentage numbers do not enter the % sign, the model
does it for you
If you make a mistake accidently, you can use 'Esc' button
in your keyboard to get back to the original situation.
