We have adopted Valuatum Platform in summer 2002.
Originally our main aim was to streamline our research
delivery. Another important aim was to get our research
numbers in database in order to get aggregate data
easier than before and be able to track the estimate
changes, which reveal a lot of important information.
The both aims have been fulfilled. Further benefits
have come from faster and more illustrative delivery
of our research numbers to our customers. The analysts,
brokers and customers can currently look at the
same fresh numbers and graphs in our Extranet while
talking on the phone on any followed company.
Customers have themselves praised especially the
transparency of our research: they can all the time
view all the current research numbers we produce,
the changes we have made to our numbers and even
the underlying assumptions of our DCF-based fair
values. Some clients also appreciate much the exceptional
possibility to get valuation models even from the
smallest companies followed and test the effect
of their own assumptions to the key figures and
DCF-valuation.
The investment made could be grounded by its cost
savings achieved in the long run. However we see
the bigger effect coming from revenue side as our
customers get better service and that will improve
our market share. We have already seen this phenomenon
although we are not very near the full potential
of this system. We could still use the system more
effectively in the interaction with our clients
in day-to-day operations. So far we have not even
introduced this system to all our clients.
We also believe that this software service is nearest
possible what the investors can currently wish.
So far, no investor that has seen the service in
action has claimed that the competitors have better
and more useful systems to offer.
