About admin points
What are admin points?
Admin points are points given by administrators. They
are points given either by Valuatum, coaching
analysts or its partners like independent equity research
providers who have made an agreement with Valuatum about
the sales and support of freelance analysis.
When admin points are given?
Admin points are given normally right after an analyst
has requested them i.e. as the analyst has informed administrators
with feedback request that her analysis is ready for feedback
(there is a function for that at analyst pages). Analyst
should make feedback request after an analyst has put
model into database and inserted enough comments on estimates
etc. into Company forum.
If you are yourself an analyst who is going to do feedback
request, please look at instructions: what
kind of accompanying notes to put in your feedback request.
Valuatum normally NEVER automatically - without feedback
request - gives admin-points to analysts as there
is no way how we could know when the analyst thinks that
the analysis is ready and there is no meaning in giving
feedback for unfinished work.
Analysts will be notified about the given admin-points
and comments (improvement suggestions) with direct e-mail
which will be sent automatically each time that the admin-points
are changed.
With the admin-points we also give exact comments about
what should be improved in order to improve the admin
points in the future. So if the analysts would like to
get beter points at once, then she can at once take corrective
actions and make thereafter a new feedback request. Normally
the rating is done already on the same day when the feedback
requestcomes and it very seldom takes more than one or
two days for us to make ratings.
Points will be updated without any feedback requests
in very seldom cases, mainly only if there are some errors/problems
with the analysis detected by our own monitoring or by
customers etc. If we see a need to downgrade or upgrade
admin points, we will do it and an automatic notice will
also always be sent to the analyst conserning an upgrade
or downgrade of his points with some company. However,
if the analyst has improved her analysis, she should always
send us a feedback request i.e. a request to re-rate the
analysis. Otherwise we probably will not notice improvements
and admin points are not raised.
Even if there were no improvements to the analysis but
the analyst herself notices that her admin points are
perhaps a bit out of line compared to other analysts and/or
our points frame, then the analyst can also notify Valuatum
about the situation (with feedback request). This kind
of situations do happen to some extent as a lot of analysis
are rated at different point of time and the focus is
more at efficiency and at approximacy than on complete
accuracy. It is sure that analysis with admin points of
1.1 is much better than an analysis with admin points
of 0.5 , but it is not so sure that analysis with admin
points of 0.78 is worse than analysis with admin points
of 0.89. But if you notice this kind of situation, please
inform us and we will
correct the situation.
What kind of scale is used in admin points?
Currently we use a scale where:
Points more than 1.1
=> excelllent analysis, with something extraordinary
good like some information about industry in general,
information about competitors or competitive situation/position,
own and informative corrections to the figures company
has published etc.
Points more than 1.0
=> very good and informative estimate comments
Points between 0.5 - 0.99
=> essential things like estimate comments, good background
information etc. are there but they are not as informative
as in analysis with more than 1.0 point
Points BELOW 0.5
=> comments on estimates are missing or the analysis
is inadequate in other aspects. Att:
Analysis with this level of admin points is marked with
"UNRELIABLE" text in the system and they it
not even be present in ranking lists etc. So this kind
of analysis has a very low visibility in the system =>
customers probably won't see it at all.
Points BELOW 0 (negative points)
=> there are such defects in the analysis, that it
has to be removed from the database if things are not
corrected quickly. Att: Analysis
with this level of admin points is marked with "UNRELIABLE"
text in the system and they it not even be present in
ranking lists etc. So this kind of analysis has a very
low visibility in the system => customers probably
won't see it at all - which is very good...
There are of course many other things that affect the
points a lot. We e.g. view negatively if analysts does
not bother to answer the questions from the customers
in company forum inside decent time.
