Ranking of the analysis
The ranking of the analysis is based on the Valuatum
points system. Each followed company is ranked separately,
so if one analyst is following many companies, then he/she
will get different points for each company. The points
are given in different categories:
- Points generated
automatically* (based
on relative accuracy of estimates vs actual, errors
detected etc.)
- Points given by the
customers
- Points given by the administrators
(Valuatum or partnering independent research companies,
click for more info)
* Automatic points are currently
in the development/test phase so they are not yet actively
used in ranking the analysis.
Total points
Total points are (later on) calculated as an average
from different categories. Different categories are weighted
so that each category is not equally important. In the
beginning most of the points are given by administrators
and therefore their weight is close to 100%, but as there
comes more and more data and more paying customers, then
the automated points and points by customers will take
the main role and admin-points will eventually be weighted
by 0%.
The analysis will be sorted according to overall points,
and each company will have 1st, 2nd, 3rd etc. analysts,
depending on how many points each analyst will get. The
better the points and thus a position analyst has, the
better the visibility and rewarding
of the analysis. So currently the ranking in this
sense in done with the admin-points,
but customer-points
and automatic points
are taken into account later on.
Automatic points
The other point categories are very straightforward but
automatic points probably need to be explained in more
detail.
Automatic Points will be given automatically at least
in following subcategories:
- Estimate accuracy
- Recommendation accuracy
- Adequacy and validity of data
- Comments
Here will later on be more information available of the
automatic points system.
Ranking of analysis vs. Ranking of companies
Please notice the difference between ranking analysis
and companies. Ranking analysis is in practice same as
giving points (see above) for the analysts.
Ranking companies however means that the analyzed companies
are sorted by different criteria for example in All Companies
Collection page. Assuming that the estimates are well-done,
it tells what companies are the best ones using the criteria
in question.
